What's one of the greatest honors you could imagine? For Darius, having a street named after him in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina ranks way up there.
Darius told a local Charleston radio station WEZL,"(It's) crazy. You never expect anyone to name a street after you. I'm honored. I'm honored that they're doing that."
On June 10, 2013 officials from the city commission officially approved the street's name in honor of Darius' philanthropy work in his hometown. Now you will be able to take a drive along Darius Rucker Boulevard, just outside the North Charleston Coliseum, where he has played several concerts.
"It's massive. It's incredible. I'm totally over the moon about the whole thing. I do what I do because I love Charleston. I'm not trying to get any honors or anything. It's because I love the city so much. It's just amazing to be recognised like that," says Darius.
Now who's heading to Charleston sometime soon to check it out?
