DARIUS RUCKER AND OTHER ACM ARTISTS SUPPORT THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME

The Academy of Country Music has pledged $2.5 million to Working on a Building: Country Music Lives Here, the capital campaign that will finance the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s expansion.

The donation was made possible due to the good work of ACM artists including Darius, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and others, who give their time and talents to the Academy’s charitable endeavors and contribute to ACM success. The $2.5 million donation was presented prior to the taping of ACM PRESENTS: Lionel Richie and Friends – In Concert, taped at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in April.

The museum will expand from 140,000 to more than 350,000 square feet and include the ACM Contemporary Gallery, which will examine modern developments and current trends in country music.
