In a recent interview with LA.com, Darius discusses all three of his albums. In regards to his latest one titled, 'True Believers,' he claims, "I feel like part of the family, but I still feel like I have so much to prove. There's still the naysayers and whatever out there, so I still feel like there's pressure to keep making good records that people — people who took a chance on me and people who supported me — want to listen to."
The article continues on to say that time was on Darius' side in the creation of the album. Although this genre isn't particularly known for patience, it was well worth the wait. Darius and producer Frank Rogers picked through the clutter until they found pieces of the puzzle that fit together.
